2013 - Grand Canyon National Park, AZ

South Rim @36°03'32"N 112°06'33"W

Driving distance from Las Vegas: 4 ½ hours

Directions:
  1. Entrance/ Exit @Flamingo or @Tropicana for Route 15 South
*If you are from Flamingo, you can directly take Route 93 South.
  2. Route 215 East
  3. Route 93/95 South

The road on Route 93 is beautiful in Nevada and at the beginning of Arizona, but it is pretty straight @Arizona until Interstate 40.

  4. Interstate 40 East.

  5. Route 64 North.

While driving on Route 64, you see a snow mountain out of nowhere: Snowbowl Mountain.

BE AWARE:
From Grand Canyon to Las Vegas, signs switching to Route 93 North are really not clear from Grand Canyon on Route 40 to Las Vegas. If you miss the interchange, you can either go back to take Route 93 or go straight to reach Route 95.

1 hour @California on Route 95 between Las Vegas and Interstate 40. Route 95 is very fun to drive. It is like a mini roller coaster.

Fare:
25 US$ per car for 7 days.

Next adventure:
  • In 2013, due to lack of time, I did not go to Desert View Drive: Watchtower.
  • I would like to spend a night and go hiking.
